So…I spent the last couple days with one of my favorite uncle, the fashion designer Alphadi who was in town to present his Collection for Peace. For those who don’t know him, he is a fashion icon in the African Fashion industry, often known as the ” Magician of the Desert”. He started his label back in 1984 and his first haute couture line was released in 1985. He created the FIMA in 1998, The International Festival of African Fashion that allows African designers to come together with other international designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo, Jean Paul Gauthier…
Last January, Alphadi was designated Unesco Artist for Peace and I totally love his collection for PEACE
